Baby Born After 100mph Dash on M275

A baby has been delivered in Portsmouth on the hard shoulder of a motorway after her grandfather was stopped driving at 100mph (160km/h).

After her contractions had started Tiffany Ellmore was being rushed along the M275 by her father Colin on the night of Friday 13th June 2014.

Police surrounded the car in order to allow Mr Ellmore to deliver her baby named Lola Mia Rose.

Lola was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital weighing a "healthy" 6lb 4oz (2.8kg). Police said no action would be taken over the speeding.
